Luxury and supercar storage in Dubai: what the specialists put in writing

For a high-value car, choose on per-car cover, the engine routine and how the car is parked. Most other differences are presentation.

Vachi Storage is listed first for a car that will stand for months. From AED 4,000 a month you get your own space with 1.6 m clear on each side, a dedicated power supply with battery charging, and four washes and four engine starts a month, at two air-conditioned sites in Al Quoz. It prints no insured value, so ask for the figure and set it against the caps on the right.

Nine more operators market to owners of sports, classic and exotic cars. Four of them print a monthly price. Two print a per-car cover figure next to that price: Unit03 at AED 1.5m from AED 1,500 a month plus VAT, and Approved Storage at AED 750,000 for AED 3,000 on a limited time offer.

The rest ask you to call. That can be fine. A workshop at the Autodrome or a classic car dealer may well be the right home for your car, but you will be comparing them on a conversation, so take notes and ask for the terms in writing.

A supercar raises one question an everyday car does not. What is it worth against the operator's cap? If the car is worth more than the figure below, the gap is yours unless the contract says something else.

How often someone starts your car

Intervals are the most concrete promise in this market, and they vary by a factor of four. Whether frequent starts are good for your particular engine is a question for its maker or your specialist. A cold start with no run to temperature is not the same job as a proper warm-up, and only some pages say which they mean. Unit03 and Dragon Racing say they run up to temperature.

Six things to ask before you hand over the keys

  1. Is my car's market value inside your cover, and is that per car? Get it in writing. A facility total does not answer this.
  2. Will it sit on a stacking lift? Approved Storage says so openly. Others may not mention it. Lifts make good use of space, though a car above yours is worth knowing about.
  3. Which floor or room is it on? The Vault VIP runs one cooled floor and one uncooled.
  4. Who may drive it, and how far? Dragon Racing and Unit03 mention running up to temperature. Ask whether that means moving the car.
  5. What is included and what is extra? Unit03 prices tyre cushions at AED 800 on 6 to 12 month stays, a client camera at AED 300 and an OBD tracker at AED 250. ZS Car Storage treats wash and pickup as add-ons.
  6. Can I see the space first? Parc Fermé and The Vault VIP keep their addresses back until booking or appointment. That is a reasonable security habit, so ask for a visit before you commit.

Questions owners ask

Where can I store a supercar in Dubai?

Vachi Storage is listed first, in Al Quoz, from AED 4,000 a month with its own power point, battery charging, four starts and four washes a month. Among the others, those that publish most are Unit03 in Ras Al Khor and Approved Storage in Al Quoz. Parc Fermé prints a temperature and detailed care routine without a price. Dragon Racing and Baron Motorsport sit at Dubai Autodrome in Motor City, and The Vault VIP is in Dubai Marina.

What does luxury car storage cost per month?

Printed rates in this group run from AED 1,500 at Unit03 on six months or more to AED 3,000 at Approved Storage and The Vault VIP's package with transport. Parc Fermé, Dragon Racing, Baron Motorsport, Tomini Classics and The Car Superstore quote privately.

Does the storage company cover my car's full value?

Not automatically. Stated per-car caps are AED 500,000 at Aeon MySpace, AED 750,000 at Approved Storage, AED 1.1m at Dragon Racing and AED 1.5m at Unit03. Above those, ask for written terms and speak to your own insurer.
