Where to store a car in Dubai while you are away
Under a month, a covered home bay and a friend with a key will do. For a summer, pay for an indoor bay with a charger.

Disconnect or fit a maintainer if you can reach a socket, cover it, and tell the building. Dubai Municipality's advice to travellers is to avoid deserted or sandy spots and to park in designated, secure places.

An indoor bay, or a trusted driver
Vachi Storage starts at AED 4,000 a month with the starts and washes done for you. Unit03 prints AED 1,700 for a month and AED 1,600 on three. Car Safe prints AED 1,800. If a friend will run the car, read the note on drivers below first.

Pay for a charger and a routine: Vachi Storage at AED 4,000 with four starts, four washes and battery charging included, Unit03 at AED 1,600 to 1,500 plus VAT, ZS Car Storage at AED 1,950, Safe My Car at AED 2,300.

The options below an indoor bay
Outdoor yard. Aeon MySpace prints AED 450 a month for outdoor spaces, sold for short stays, trucks and work vehicles. Extra Space also has outdoor spaces with no printed price. Sun and dust still reach the car, so treat a yard as parking.
Your building's basement. It is cool compared with the street and costs nothing extra. Ask the building whether cars can stand unused for months, and arrange a way to keep the battery alive.
The street or a sand lot. Don't. Dubai Municipality issues warnings of 3 to 15 days on neglected cars, then removes them to Al Awir with a Dh500 fine plus towing and impound charges, according to Gulf News in July 2026. In the first half of 2025 it issued 6,187 warnings and removed 1,387 vehicles and pieces of equipment, Khaleej Times reported.

Getting the car there
Leaving tomorrow? Ask who moves it. Unit03 includes one covered transporter within Dubai on stays of three months or more. The Vault VIP's AED 3,000 package has two trips in an enclosed truck. Aeon MySpace says it can collect. Car Safe's Gold plan includes recovery trips. Tomini Classics' plan lists one truck trip. ZS Car Storage and Car Superstore treat transport as something you pay for.
If a friend keeps the keys
Write the permission down: Gulf News points to Federal Decree Law No. 31 of 2021 on using a car without consent. The National in 2021 says a UAE resident with a UAE licence can drive it while you are away, and that fines, Salik and registration fees stay with you. Whether your policy covers your friend depends on the insurer, as Policybazaar notes. Published rules on visitors disagree, so ask RTA first.
Gone for the whole summer
The longer the car stands, the more the routine matters. Vachi Storage's car plan bundles four starts and four washes a month with battery charging and its own power point, from AED 4,000 a month at two air-conditioned sites in Al Quoz. That is more than a bare bay costs, and it means nobody needs your keys while you are away.

Can I leave my car at the airport for months?
This site found no operator data on long airport parking, so it has no figure to offer. Compare the airport's published long-stay tariff with storage rates, and remember a car parked for months will still need its battery kept alive.
Is car storage available near me in Dubai?
Most facilities cluster in Al Quoz, Dubai Investment Park, Ras Al Khor and Motor City. The Vault VIP is in Dubai Marina and Car Safe also lists Umm Hurair and Festival City. Several operators can collect, so distance matters less than it first appears.
